Mitsubishi Corporation Clean Energy Ltd. will develop and operate renewable energy power generation projects, including onshore wind, solar, and hydroelectric, and offer solutions to customers, while always striving for coexistence and co-creation with local communities.
We will also implement carbon reduction and decarbonization of thermal power generation, prioritizing stable supply as a key requirement and cooperating/collaborating closely with customers, partners, and local communities. Through these projects, we will build up a clean power portfolio, and contribute to realizing a carbon-neutral society by providing solutions to our customers.
01Renewable Energy Power Generation Development
We develop and operate renewable energy power plants in Japan, including solar, onshore wind, and hydroelectric.
For more than 10 years since 2013, we have worked to develop and operate renewable energy projects such as solar, onshore wind, hydroelectric, and biomass, in regions all over Japan.
The global trend toward carbon neutrality, exemplified by the COP and other international frameworks, is driving accelerated assessment of carbon reduction and decarbonization by countries, local governments, companies, and others.
Furthermore, the environmental value of electric power is rising every year, driven by trends like increasing demand for renewable electric power in Japan and revision of the RE100.
In response to these global trends, we will ensure stable operation of existing power plants, while striving to introduce even more renewable energy. This will be done by leveraging the know-how and network of the Mitsubishi Corporation Group, so we can contribute to achievement of a carbon-neutral society in Japan by 2050.
02Supplying Renewable Energy Solutions for Customers
We will contribute to realizing a carbon-neutral society by providing solutions to our customers.
Customer needs for renewable electric power are increasing every year, together with the irreversible rise in environmental awareness all over the world.
In particular, an increasing number of companies are members of environmental initiatives like RE100, and there is growth in strategic industrial fields exemplified by data centers, semiconductors and so forth, which are expanding due to the popularization of generative AI. Against this sort of backdrop, demand is continually growing for renewable electric power which is stable over the long term.
Our company will propose solutions, centered on renewable electric power and environmental value, to address the issues faced by these customers.
03Energy Transition
We are promoting carbon reduction and decarbonization of thermal power.
We have taken over the thermal power generation business of Mitsubishi Corporation, and we manage/operate power generation facilities. To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, we will work in close cooperation/collaboration with customers, partners, and local communities, to convert power generation assets owned by our company to hydrogen, ammonia, biomass or other power generation systems that do not emit greenhouse gases, and thereby switch to low or no carbon power generation.
